DGUV V3 Testing for Warehouses & Logistics Centers
Standard-compliant testing of charging stations, conveyor systems, mobile scanners and warehouse lighting across the Munich area – scheduled around your shift plan, not the other way round.
Safety-Critical Areas in Logistics Facilities
In warehouse areas with high dust levels, constant vibration from forklifts and material-handling equipment, and high throughput, electrical hazards need to be identified early to prevent cable fires or injuries. Unlike an office, warehouse and logistics spaces face much harsher operating conditions: mechanical impacts from forklifts, vibration from conveyor systems, temperature swings in cold-storage/freezer areas, and sometimes continuous multi-shift operation. That directly affects inspection intervals – shorter intervals than in an office setting are often required.
Forklift Charging Stations
Testing of battery chargers for pallet trucks, forklifts and electric order pickers. Charging stations in particular often run continuously and are easily overlooked during general equipment testing.
Conveyor Systems & Packing Lines
Roller conveyors, parcel sorting systems, strapping machines and labelling stations – tested as a fixed installation per DIN VDE 0105-100, including protective-conductor and insulation resistance measurement per circuit.
IT & Mobile Data-Capture Devices
Handheld scanner charging stations, industrial label printers, order-picking terminals and warehouse PCs – portable equipment that often needs shorter inspection intervals than fixed installations.
Warehouse Lighting
Permanently installed warehouse, aisle and outdoor lighting as well as safety and escape-route lighting, where particular care is required – especially safety-relevant during continuous shift operation.
Inspection Intervals for Logistics Facilities at a Glance
The exact intervals always depend on your individual risk assessment (wear, environment, prior fault rate). As a rough guide to what is typical for comparable logistics facilities:
| Equipment | Typical Interval | Standard |
|---|---|---|
| Forklift charging stations, mobile IT devices | 12 months | DGUV V3 · DIN EN 50699 |
| Conveyor systems, packing lines (fixed) | Up to 4 years* | DIN VDE 0105-100 |
| Warehouse lighting (general) | Up to 4 years* | DIN VDE 0105-100 |
| Safety & escape-route lighting | Annual function test | ASR A2.3 / DIN VDE 0100-560 |
*Under heavy wear (dust, moisture, cold-storage areas, 24/7 operation), a noticeably shorter interval is usually advisable – we determine this together as part of the risk assessment.
Testing During Ongoing Shift Operation
Scheduling Without Production Downtime
A warehouse running two or three shifts can rarely afford a complete stoppage for testing. That’s why we coordinate the testing schedule directly with your shift plan – for example during quieter night hours, during planned maintenance windows, or area by area, so only part of the warehouse is affected at any time and material flow continues. Fixed installations such as conveyor systems are scheduled so that shutdowns fall exactly within existing maintenance windows instead of forcing their own downtime.
We document every test result digitally and in a tamper-evident way – with a QR label right on the equipment, so your warehouse or facility managers can check the current test status any time by scanning, without digging through paper folders. That’s a noticeable time saving over classic paper-based documentation, especially for large logistics sites with hundreds of pieces of equipment.
